Rex has a broad range of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on corporate disputes, regulatory investigations, and white-collar crime. His practice also covers areas such as employment law, defamation, and contentious probate, as well as matters related to property, trusts, and financial services. He is adept at navigating complex issues, including commercial fraud, cyber-crimes, derivative actions, insolvency matters and urgent injunction applications in aid of arbitral or foreign proceedings and enforcement of arbitral awards.

Rex has represented a diverse range of clients, including individuals, local media, and major financial institutions. He has worked with multinational corporations and statutory bodies, assisting both local and international clients in litigation across jurisdictions such as the PRC, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Italy, Israel, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United States. Notable cases include supporting parties in derivative actions in the BVI, aiding major banks in Dubai and Switzerland with their claims, involving in significant litigation concerning infrastructure projects in Vietnam and trust recovery cases in the UK and Australia.

Acted for the parties involved in arbitration cases concerning international trade, commercial and contractual disputes, and private construction matters.

Advised on the appropriateness and enforceability of arbitration agreements, formation of arbitral tribunals, enforceability of arbitral awards, referral to arbitration and stay of court proceedings, seeking court remedies in aid of arbitration.
